Brewed with Maris Otter malt, dark crystal & caramalt to celebrate Beer Day Britain and the 800th Anniversary of the sealing of Magna Carta in 1215. Ale was mentioned in clause 35 of Magna Carta.
As a nod to the Magna Carta connection, Britannia's Brew is a limited edition of 1,215 bottle conditioned bottles. Clause 35 of Magna Carta stated: 'Let there be throughout our kingdom a single measure for wine and a single measure for ale and a single measure for corn, namely "the London quarter'.
Tasting Notes: With notes of zesty orange and spice from British Boadicea & Sovereign hops to complement the rich biscuit and light caramel malt palate. It also contains botanicals to represent the home nations of Britain. Seaweed for Wales; Red and white rose petals for the Tudor Rose (England); Heather for Scotland; Flax Seeds Northern Ireland.
